Any recommendations for non-silicone riding tights?

Blackfort Equestrian are usually my go-to as their quality is excellent, but they haven’t got any non-silicone ones in and won’t until the new year. I’ve tried pepperell and eqcouture before but didn’t like them as much.

Horzehoods are lovely, decent thickness that they support, pockets and thick waist band - are my favourites

Ooh where do you have 25+ temps? You going on hols somewhere nice 😀
Haha, no, in the UK, and 25° is rather too warm for me but such temps are not unknown here 🙂.

Thinking of when I go on a pre booked trail ride and the weather is what the weather is for the duration. I'm currently much better prepped for cool weather than hot!

My finger is hovering over the buy button. Are they lightweight enough for hot weather? My existing cheapie cotton/lycra Astile jodhs that I live in are tough and great, but they are rather too warm to wear in hot weather.

Thinking of all day or half day rides in 25°+ temps.

They are fine for me in the summer for riding. I've done 5-6 hours riding in them during the summer and not over heated.

I use them for the gym and running too (obviously clean pairs ...!). I do get a bit sweatier in my spin classes than my really thin gym leggings but they are still fine enough that I still wear them :D

For the last few winters, Flexars with Heatholder leggings underneath.
Horzehoods do a great winter weight too, but I still use Heatholders underneath.
Yes, I am nesh & I have Reynauds.

Australian brand, but Bare Equestrian tights are good and they do silicon and no silicon. I ride in them year round (so when it's properly hot 35c+), and have a pair still going strong after 6 years.

Corounne equestrian do non sticky riding tights. I’ve a couple of pairs and love them. Pockets on the side and wide waste band.

Looked them, they look good and they do ship to the UK. But hardly any summer tights in atm, which is probably not surprising seeing as it's your winter 🤣.

Flexars just fall down and drive me completely bananas (and yes, I did size down as per the recommendations by Flexar)
Oh ****, my new Flexars have just arrived, I've not yet tried them on, but they'll drive me mad if they do this ☹️.

Is it cheeky to ask what shape you are? I'm a chunky blokeish build, not exactly fat but no defined feminine waist, so more straight up and straight down.

I roast in flexars in the summer
Again, oh dear, I've got them for summer.

I’ve got a pair of flexars - I’m a size 12 but they’re XS 🤷‍♀️ they don’t fall down and they hold everything in but that means they’re quite thick - not my go-to for hot days.

My Flexars are my summer weight riding tights, I must be programmed differently to those of you that find them too hot 🤣

I have some horzehoods ones and they are good too but I think Flexars are just that bit more flattering, Horzehoods do have the winter and lightweight materials though. For winter, I love the shires aubrion microfleece lined ones. I think they are one of the most underrated things as no one else ever seems to mention them.

Having worn my new pair of Flexars all day yesterday, I'm relieved to say that I agree with you 🙂!

I'm actually back in my trusty cotton/lycra jodhs today, because at 17°C it's a tad nippy for the Flexars 🤣. I don't want a chilled @rse!

I'm a curvy size 16-18 and my flexars are medium. They are incredibly comfortable so in my excitement of finding comfy tights, i bought four pairs plus biscuit for competing. But they are so high waisted that they simply don't stay up. When I'm lunging and can't keep pulling them up, the crotch nearly ends up at my knees. They honestly drive me bananas. Such a shame as they are super comfy.

Thinking about trying the Flexars, are they really that big, im a size 8/or small 10, it says XS is 10-12 so should I go XXS?
