Non-slip stable flooring

Am a new member but have been lurking and reading lots of threads on the forum for a while. :)

Can anyone recommend a good (and hopefully not too expensive) non-slip flooring for stables please? A lot of the rubber mats sold as suitable for stables don't seem to provide any grip for an old arthritic horse with front shoes on and restricted movement in back legs. I have seen anti-slip paint (with rubber?). Anyone any experience of this? Any good? Any other recommendations please?

Just want to keep my old girl safe.

I'm really not an expert, but the rubber matting (not loose mats, but sealed as a solid flooring) which is used where I ride seems quite non-slip to me. It might depend how much grip she needs, of course.

No experience of the non-slip rubbery paint, but sounds interesting!
 
We used a very non stick sealed rubber floor in the vet box, but it would be expensive, non portable, and I assume not easy to keep clean, would a deep lititer bed not work?

She has DJD in her hocks, one much worse than the other, and has trouble getting her back legs under her and pushing off (feet seem to slip because of the angle she uses them at).

I do deep litter her but sometimes, when she has struggled a bit, she has managed to actually scrape through the deep litter.
 
Poor mare, must be hard for you too.
I haven't even heard of the rubbery paint, so can't compare it to rubber mats. I'd imagine the floor would need quite a bit of preparation for the paint to adhere properly.
Lastly, I'm very impressed that you've done a multi-quote on your 2nd post here! I haven't managed one yet...
 
I have used the EVA comfort mats for my oldie and they are very good.They are easy to move and give good support.Used with a good layer of Bedmax and he was very comfortable.
