My rather intellectually-challenged Boxer-X is the messiest drinker ever; after she has vacated the vicinity of the water bowl, thoughtfully putting out a "wet floor" sign in her wake, she considers her work to be done. Sadly we live in a hard water area, and the continual puddles of water on the kitchen floor are beginning to cause a problem. Namely, OH is complaining about them. Now I would be quite happy to simply let the dog loose somewhere a long way from home, but a) she has been microchipped (the vet clearly knew how she would turn out) and b) this is increasingly frowned upon. I have found on eBay the world's most expensive water bowl, made by Herm Sprenger (the clue to the price is in the name), and just wondered if anyone knew if they worked...? Alternatively, if anyone would like an 8yo Boxer x GR, with the intellect of gravel and a smell to rival an abattoir on a summer's day, inbox me. Yes, that is she in my sig. *sigh*

Do links work on here? If so, this is the bowl:

S4sugar I've got one of those! the main reason being my dogs ears end up in ever other bowl which leaves an amazing mess lol best thing I've ever bought :)

not really any help but if we leave a water bowl on the floor my choc lab thinks its funny to put both feet in it and stomp up and down until all the water is on the floor.

Oh you are extremely patient! I'd put the bowl in a stand if my dog did that...:D

Thank you very much everyone; I have ordered a Road Refresher bowl and will see if that helps. I really do appreciate the input :)

Mine learned off another person's dog, grrr, to flip bowls and scoot them around the floor for a fun game, so he has the metal bowls sunk in a hoop with hooks, he has one in his outside kennel and one for his crate.
