Mine are Amerigo, also quite expensive. Bought at Olympia horse show. Calf lined with nylon. I have had them since 2011, but I do clean them and hang them up straight behind our cellar door. As I take my own stirrups and leathers to the yard, the leathers are fitted left or right at random, so I am not always using the same leather to mount.
They replaced a similar unbranded pair of which one got lost.

If you want cheaper, I have a couple of shires pairs with a nylon core that are nice. One I’ve had for at least 11 years and still in good condition, the others are quite new.

Even nylon lined will stretch a little, do make sure you swap left to right when cleaning your saddle, if you and asymmetric stirrups you'll need to take the irons off to swap them. Don't mount from the ground unless it's an emergency and have the highest mounting block possible.

Thank you. I always mount from a mounting block and it's high enough that I can just swing my leg over without using the stirrup.
I've never thought about swapping the stirrup leathers over when cleaning. I will make sure I do this with whatever new pair I get!
