none horsey - sd card reader help!

Non horse realted i know but am trying to upload videos off my cameras sd card through the printer card reader and its not happening! when i put it in its saying : you nees to format the disk in drive E before you can use it. pressed format disk and a box appears did this and says completed then nothing happens!! can anyone help?

Could it be because you are trying to download videos rather than pictures?

If I'm reading this correctly your SD card had the vids on it then you formatted it?
Vids will be deleted in the process.

This is quite true.

I also suspect, as was mentioned above, that the printer won't have the necessary drivers to recognise 'video' data, just 'image' files.

However, all may not be lost (fingers' crossed).

If the videos are important to you I'd suggest buying a USB card reader (they're relatively inexpensive) and also download VaioSoft Recovery Manager 1.5.

DO NOT put the card back into the camera, nor write or format it in any other way. As it is, though 'formatted' (singularly), you may be able to recover the video files using the recovery software.

Agreed. Will depend if you did quick format which just deletes the address data or full format which does wipe the lot.
Hoping it was the former.
