So as some may know ive brought naughty TB back into work after deciding ages ago we were having no fun and just stopping forcing myself to ride him.
Jumped back on and he's been perfect, a few teething problems- ie. he was getting very excited on the way home but things have settled and im liking riding him(!!)
On my regular back ladies advice I booked him in a month into work for a good check over. Hes just been walking and trotting on the roads to date and its going well.
She came today and commented how stiff he was on being trotted up (shame I hadn't picked up on this)
Anyhow he was in such pain. She had trouble treating him and had to do little bits then give breaks in between. After a long break she went back to the saddle area and he was just as bad as before she started (she pointed out he would be sore anyway but that she'd have liked a little improvement)
He made such a fuss we decided to call it a day after a hour and she will come back mid week when hopefully things will have settled. If not she recommends x-rays and vet examinations.
I think we are talking kissing spines :-(
Any one know the costs involved in the back being x rayed?
Can a horse with kissing spines be kept as a field ornament without being operated?- I cant afford to operate and he's uninsured
Any thoughts or ideas please? (of course he could just be being dramatic as he is a bit of a diva at the best of times and dislikes being touched or even having new people on his yard!)
