Nooooo! My poor horse and my bl**dy saddles !

didn't see your earlier posts. Just wondering if your horse's muscle might be asymmetrical? Mine had a bad back & was having saddle issues. Vet looked at her & noticed there was about 1 cm difference in the amount of muscle either side. So I had my saddle converted to flair & since *touches wood* its been loads better. Horse is a WBxISH so is MW fit with relatively high withers. Is wearing an albion k2.

My daughter rode in her trainer's Amerigo and bought one herself.

Her Dad tried hers and he bought one.
They seem to fit very well and the riders both say they feel much more secure.
We had Wychanger Barton fit ours and they both seem fine. after a few months use.

sue carson - her saddle fittings take app. 3 hours and take into account way of going etc.

Have you thought of trying a Strada Saddle.

I have one from the days when they were made by and called Michela Leng saddles. If you "Google" Strada you will find the website.

The technology is too technical for me to try and describe but I have a dressage version (which is mine) and a jumping version which belongs to and was made by my Master Saddler friend when she used to work alongside Michela.

I have a 15hh show cob and an andalusian and both saddles go on both horses. At various times I have put my saddles on almost all types, shapes and sizes of horse with no problems whatsoever. The saddles are so forgiving and good for the horse that even if the saddle is not a perfect fit the horse will be happy underneath it

I urge you to have a look. The saddlers are great!

Hope this helps.

Another vote for Sue Carson. Becky fitted my very difficult to fit horse, plus she was able to make allowances for my back problems as well. The saddle is made for you both & the air adjusted while you riding.
Spider really tells us when it's ok & when it's not. I was amazed at the difference.

I hope you get it sorted.

can really sympathise, saddles can be an absolute nightmare, I have an incredibly awkward horse to fit. We've got a wow saddle now, and although we've had some problems with it, they have been very good and spent many hours fiddling about to get it right, and we probably wouldn't have had so much to play about with to get it right with a 'normal' saddle. But then maybe there being so much to play about with to get it right can be a downfall too
