My partner and I are planning to relocate to Norfolk hopefully within the next 6 months from Kent.

We aren't sure which specific part of Norfolk just yet but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what's its like for livery. Is it easy to find livery? I would be looking for DIY, could you tell me what kind of costs I would be looking at for livery? I currently pay £45 per week in Kent for DIY with hay.

Also, any advice on where would be a good place to look to move? I am going next week to stay near Kings Lynn with a friend for a look around there and we are both going in October for a good look around at what areas we would like to live in, but advice from horse owners who live there would be helpful!

Thank you in advance :)

Decide where it is that you want to live then come back and ask again and I'll put my thinking hat on! Presumably where you live will need to be reasonably close to where you work, so perhaps that could be a starting point.

Alec.

It is a huge county with no main roads (so it always seems to me!) so you will want to narrow your area down a bit, as Alec says.

We've recently moved to Norfolk from Cambridgeshire and absolutely love it! We live the other side of Thetford on the outskirts of a tiny village, the hacking is great and we have a couple of stables at home which is perfect. If you decide to move around here we have a couple of spare stables! Hope you find somewhere!

Thanks everyone, we are currently thinking around the Kings Lynn area.

Ahh wonderful! I cant wait to move, and neither can my OH! Have you found it easy to meet horsey people having your horses at home? I would love to have mine at home but then I am thinking maybe I should start at livery so it gives me the opportunity to meet people?
It all depends on the house though. If we find a house with grazing then I think I would be stupid to say now!
