My husband and I are starting planning for our next house move. Downsizing a bit now daughter has flown the nest and also a change of location.

We are planning our move to Norfolk. We have no set areas apart from not wanting the busy coastal area or Broads, we really are open to all suggestions.

As a starting point I thought we could consider areas with suitable livery yards for my Charlie who will of course be coming with us.

So, can I have recommendations/suggestions for yards with the following criteria:

Full 7 day livery required with first class care
year round turnout out but no problem with reasonable winter restrictions
Not too large a yard
I need a decent school surface. At least 60x20 as I compete and must have a good not too deep surface that is well cared for. Preferably an indoor school as well
Reasonable hacking without too much roadwork

I have a good budget for livery costs, so I will start with the wish list and take it from there.

Any suggestions on areas would be great. I holiday a lot a Thetford, and south of the county would make visiting friends here in Essex easier

Have you considered travel to competitions? Not sure what level you compete at but if you're not doing nationals or anything it might be an idea choose an area based on having a few local comp venues around as there will likely be more choice of yards there anyway?

Only competing at prelim BD but low level not in a serious way. I enjoy the schooling more than the competing at the moment. But the school surface is important as I have a big lad who hates to sink into a surface too much.

Ferry Farm in Woodbastwick - Been a while since I have been there, but the surface was good then. Can't remember arena sizes, but they do BD there.

Brampton Equestrian Centre - this was in the process of being built up when I left Norfolk, but my friends that live there all rave about it.

Brampton is lovely as is ferry farm, if you wa t to be close to the Broads, broadland equestrian centre is fabulous, you won't find better care.
