Hiya all who know me
Havent been able to get on here much lately but am starting to come on more again as everything is so depressing at the moment I need something to cheer me up !

I'm probably the reason the forum keeps crashing - it cant handle having me back on

How is everyone ??
Guisbrogal ? Sare ? anyone else who knows me or not ?

Am thinking of a change of career - anyone know of anything in the Redcar & Cleveland area ? Horsey / driving / labouring / Toyboy ?

Unfortunately things havent gone so well this week with Anna-Marie : lost a shoe , then kicked in the leg - poor girl is sore and grumpy

and I feel just as bad so cant even get to the local shows with her !

Anyone know of any good horsey events coming up in the area ? Couldnt get to Bramham this year as vehicle was bust but fancy getting to some local shows or demos for a view

Sare still around somewhere, with a nice new neddy (Sadly she lost the beautiful Troy)... Mad Amanda...oops sorry - Guisbrogal - is around somewhere but probably giving in to a nervous breakdown as the poor woman has had months of having to hack out with me!!!

Quite a lot of us northerners now!!!

Hi there, did you know that as well as this great forum that we North East people have our own regional forum run by the lovely Giddy up. Lots of local chat, calender of events and also meet ups. Come to visit us at www.giddyupnorth.co.uk

Hello matey! Good to have you back.
Sorry don't know of any jobs....I am looking for one too and please don't mention Bramham. (long story and not one I really care to repeat).

You'll have to bring Anna-marie over to Guisborough and have a hack out with me and that mad witch that I ride out with. Now what's her name? Err....oh that's right Janine! (She drives me nuts to be honest but well you have to do your bit for these care in the community type don't you?) Tee Hee!

Glad to see you are all still alive

Typical week I've had has got even worse... Anna's kick has got worse and going up to check her about 9.30 but think I'll have to have the vet out this morning as although it improved Sunday it was worse again yesterday. She also had an allergic reaction to something yesterday and came in covered in lumps and quite distressed ( bucking and kicking out violently ) ... washed her full body in betadine and the majority of it went down so she was a bit happier - ate all her tea before she went out again but was lame from the kick ( which she hadnt been lame earlier - just sore ).
Will need to find another job fairly sharpish as have just given my fortnights notice yesterday ( before I saw Anna was worse

) as I cannot stand working any longer than I have to for where I am now ! ( job is ok - its all that goes with it that isnt ! including pay ! ).

Have 'favourited' the North East Forum so I can give it some proper attention later - cheers for the link

and also the local shows links - cheers

If I ever get Anna sound enough would love to pop over and see you GG ... if I can find the time and cash to get the horsebox MOTd I'd probably fetch her in that though rather than chance the roads unless its a quiet day : she's good in traffic but unfortunately a lot of drivers arent !

Will let you know how she's doing when I next get on here , though maybe not tonight as I'm working till late - bloody job

Did need to get the vet out Tuesday - her leg looked more like an elephants than a TBs !! was very infected and sore : vet was worried that she might have chipped her carpal bones or damaged the joint capsule - did a flexion test and although very lame she didnt seem any lamer than before the flexion. Gave her antibiotics and said to get them urgently if she went lamer after the antibiotics. Yesterday she was a little off her feed and feeling sorry for herself so I hand fed her the remains of her tea ( with antibiotics in ) and today ...
her leg is still swollen but only half the size and although she's still sore and reluctant to use it too much she is much less lame than she was and whickered for her tea and cleaned the bowl out herself

Will still take some time before I can ride her properly again but things look a lot better now

Think the allergic reaction she had was to a bite or sting as she had a huge 'blister' on her side which didnt go down with the other lumps and which burst when I massaged it - showing an entry hole in the middle. Its nearly healed now and shouldnt cause any problems with her saddle as it will be a couple of days before I think of slowly riding her again.

Will have to spend the time when I cant ride her putting stuff on ebay to pay for the vets bill !

oh I hope she is soon on the mend. Poor girlie.

I went to see Ellie tonight and he has been bitten by one of the other horses. It is already healing up but it has a good bubble of fluid around it. Darn horses.....nowt but trouble.

Give AM a big hug from me.

Durham County is on the first weekend in July, I *think* I will be taking 2 youngsters for the in-hand, may see you there.
