I've had a chat with my current yard owner, who says she can put me on her waiting list for DIY livery, but for now there isn't any space for my potential youngster, and it doesn't look hopeful that space will come up

. The last thing I want is to start looking for a new horse when I don't have somewhere to keep it, so I am looking around for another yard. I've tried a few that I know of, but a lot of them seem to be found by word of mouth, and all the ones I've phoned don't have any room.

North-Easterners, where do you keep your horses? I live in Middlesbrough so preferably want them fairly close.

Hi Pagan - sorry I'm further north than you! All I can suggest is have a look in some of the local tack shops and feed merchants - they often have notice board advertising livery yards. Also the local farrier is often a good person to ask - they spend all day travelling to various yards! Good luck!

there are quite a few round scarborough area - but will be prob 2 far 4 u, i keep mine at home so v lucky, i think there are a few yards in whitby tho

It is literally just behind the farm where my TB is stabled, and is actually the current home of the foal I am hoping to go and see, so if we decided to buy him, he wouldn't have to be moved until after he is used to us (and gelded!).
