Can anyone recommend a nice instructor to help build my confidence?

I'm in the Darlington/Bishop Auckland/Barnard Castle area.

Certainly

Gwyneth Lewis over at New Moors ( West Auckland ) is great

though depends really on what level you want and what you want to do
and there's Claire Dryden whos a bit further out but travels .
Gwyneths farm number is in the BHS year book or will probably be in the phone book under New Moors Training & Livery & enough people know Claire Dryden so if you ask around someone will have her number

I haven't had lessons with Gwyneth Lewis, but I have had Claire Dryden in the past. I was having big confidence problems at the time and she has a very quiet, supportive style. Her number is 07881 620456 (her number is listed online as an instructor so she won't mind it here). I can also highly recommend Leah Stephenson (listed on the BHS site). She is based at Hoffal and I don't know how far she travels.

Becky Williamson is lovely, she's just outside Yarm but will travel a bit or you can go to her. She's currently re-educating my sisters youngster with her and she's very competent and also easy to get on with.

Cracking new yard she has too!
