I think Mark Allman from Endon RS is a joint Master too, he certainly was last year.
Mark Allman is NOT from Endon Riding school. He'd go mad if he read that! He ha LOL
He is a horse dealer in Madeley Heath, quite a decent one at that. His yard is about 7 mins drive from me. Lovely man. His wife, Alison, is a fabby rider and a lovely lady.
We've been invited to join the hunt, as guests, but have bottled it!
Do you live close to his place? He does seem to specialise in ISH's doesn't he? Nearly bought one from him myself a few months back. Lovely little horse. Sadly the horse had some issues that would have been fine had we planned to keep it long term, but we didn't feel it was fair to buy this horse as a bring on to sell project when it had some trust issues. Very sensitive, but quality.
Live in Stafford so not too far away. He does a lot of Irish horses and a couple of friends have bought horses from him and been well pleased. I know Pidge was underweight when I got him in May 05 but Mark had only bought him from Ireland in the March and Pidge had done 38 days hunting over the winter in Ireland! I'm chuffed to bits with Pidge so would recommend Mark without doubt. He is a full registered ISH with green passport and his great grandsire is King of Diamonds on his dams side and Luthier and Carnival Night on his sire's side so I think he is nicely bred IMO.
He certainly looks lovely in your signature. Glad you're pleased with him. He does take them back when people have any problems which is good. Think he gives you a month doesn't he?
Not going to the Monty Roberts demo at Rodbaston on 13th October are you?
Let's just say he was under 450kg when I got him, 525kg beginning of Feb 06 and is now a respectable 610kg
ALL HAIL TOP SPEC! Will ask sis about monty roberts demo as we could do with some tips on her cob Sunny who can be a bit bargy on the ground and as for being clipped, well don't even go there
Patches is the same. I have to pay the vet to sedate her and then work like hell as she sweats up so bad under sedation! Clippers leave ugly tramlines in wet coats.
I never thought of that. I guarantee he would not be able to communicate that clippers are not to be feared to Patches.
Wow...your fella was really thin when you had him. He looks the picture of health now. Lovely fella.
Glad it's not just Sunny then! we are trying to get him used to the noise by having chris's ladyshave on when he's in the box but...... still very early days. Managed to get a bit of a bib clip last year but then he had enough so it wasn't exactly neat, was contemplating getting vet out to sedate and then whoosh with the clippers
