I'm thinking of moving livery and came across their website.

Has anyone got any experience of them - I think it's been taken over on what used to be Park Farm and relaunched.
Any thoughts or opinions, pm if you prefer

What's the hacking like in that area?

Sorry dont know much about it, but its only 3min drive from where i live looks lovley when i drive past, and on the website it says about offering hacking sessions for those who can canter so i presuming if you have a horse on livery you most probally can do that route:)

"We offer direct access to miles of road-free bridleways some of which can be accessed from within the centre, plus also nearby are the Northaw Great Woods "

All i can say its a lovley area and looking like a beautiful yard.
good luck in what evr you decide to do:)

My friend went to look around there and she came back saying they had good hacking, better than her current yard at any rate which has bridlepaths only accessible with a fair amount of roadwork. It also has an XC course as she has been to an XC clinic there.

However, they have a waiting list.

A waiting list is usually a good sign.
I'm ok at the moment so can go on a waiting list but it's closer to where I live and looks like it has better facilities so it could be a good move.
I suppose being quite new there's not a lot to say good or bad.

I'm 10 minutes away from Northaw Mannor EC with my horses, did enquire about grass livery but I have found somewhere cheaper :-) Seems a nice place though.

My daughter has her horse there. She loves it. It's very friendly, everyone is very helpful. She moved there after a short and disastrous experience at another livery yard in the area! I can thoroughly recommend Northaw Manor.

Hi all, they just had a new floodlit clopt fibre ( Martin Collins) 60 x 30 school installed and it rides amazing, there's lots going on there with kelly turner, Mia korenika and candice Williams running clinics from there. Plus there's gonna be a load of shows in their show field and they are running a SJ series with prize money in 2012.

They have 400 plus acres of hacking there, 30 acre XC course, access to bridle paths and the new owners are improving facilities all the time. There is a waiting list but I hear they have 24 new stables arriving to clear the waiting list down.
Lots of good stuff going on at this yard. A refreshing approach, a big thumbs up !!!!

Oooo! shows and cross country courses! eppp:D might have to make a trip there as its only 25mins away from the yard i share at next year! Thank for info:)

things have changed at Northaw manor, they have been hit by two arson attacks this year and theres a lot of problems there now. the owner of the farm has been fly tipping there and theres rumours that there are three horses buried there on the farm. this is a place you should steer clear from now

I don't think it's called Northaw Manor anymore. From what I know, it is now Northaw Equestrian Centre and run by someone new. It is common knowledge round the area that the old owner started a bit of a hate campaign for the yard when he was evicted by the land lord a few years ago, with the rumours such as above, to try and ruin the yards reputation. Everyone who is there and been there says it is nice there, lovely school, acres of hacking and a professional service form the staff.
