I have been away all week so I'm sorry if this has already been posted!

I thought people might like to take a look a this group. I think it would be a huge shame if the Northiam Blue cross closes, the local equine rescue centres are already full and have a serious lack of funds, no doubt they will suffer even more if this centre is closed.
''On 25/01/2010 it was announced that the Blue Cross Small Animal Adoption Centre and Equine Rest and Retirement Centre in Northiam, East Sussex, and the Small Animal Adoption Centre in Felixstowe are both facing proposals for closure.
The Blue Cross has stated that both sites are outdated and in much need of improvement, however their locations make them unsuitable for redevelopment. Blue Cross figures apparently point towards the South East being an area of low demand for animal rehoming services, however our work in this area has shown that the Northiam centre is an integral part of the local community. The money from both these closures will be used to help animals in the North East instead.''
