thought i would do both my reports in one post !!

So last sunday i thought i would take my 6yo to Norton Heath to do some jumping as we have been doing silly stressage for ages !!

There was traffic on M25 so we missed the clear round so got ready and went and warmed up - we were suprisingly calm and was an angel then a couple before going in i popped a few cross poles and went round to the arena !!

Now my pony isnt used to going inside and even at dressage gets really tense so we did a couple of mini rears outside and then a lovely girl gave me a lead in - once the doors closed it felt like riding and 18hh horse - so no 1 and 2 were fine as they were back to the door turned left to 3 which had flowers and flower pot men and we refused then bunny hopped to the door so i smacked him and we went vertical a few times showing the crowd our belly - then over number 3 tried to swerve number 4 but got him over then 5 - 9 were perfect - no 6 was by the door so rode for my life and no 7 dug the spurs in so we bronked afterwards but i was realy pleased !!

Cant wait to go out again !! ive missed jumping and i get my Ginger monster back again soon too !!!

Ok now for yesterday the PAvo in-hand 2yo - with the worst weather ever !!!! on monday we bathed and plaited and then rugged him up to the eyeballs got down early to sew his plates in (urgh never doing that again silly needles) left 15 mins late and off we went well then the weather got worse and i was travelling Sox who has only been on a lorry once - but he was an angel and didnt move !! so took an extra 45 mins to get there, turned up as the class started and got ready then off we went to the ring and joined the end of the queue !!

he was an angel especially being next to 2 filly's - so then we had to go out and stood while the judges looked at him they said ok thank you - so then i didnt have a clue what to do so guessed i had to trot round the triangle - WRONG i was supposed to walk first then trot - woops !! got round to the part of the triange where all the other horses were and the woman tried to chase him with the stick - well he isnt scared of sticks so that didnt work !! ha ha

Then we all had to walk round where he was really good then line up as they came and looked at them again !!!

Didnt get placed but i think that was slightly my fault for not having a clue what we were doing !!! i had looked it all up but forgot as soon as we got int he class !!

Well for his first show he was really behanved and didnt try and kill his mummy like some of the others there - he loaded straight back on the lorry were we untacked him and put his boots on !!

Ive got some pics when we got home so will post them later as it was far to wet to take any there !!!

I think we will leave the showing stuff alone now i can clearly say i enjoyed myself on Sunday jumping !!!!

Thankfully we had the rain Monday night here, and it had dried up by Tuesday. You must have got seriously soggy.
Sounds like a good experience for your 2yo.
Lovely pics too (horse and the damp doggies).

yep very good experience and so pleased that his temprement was the same and he was a gentleman - there were other colts rearing and striking out at the handlers !!
