Me & hubby are relocating to Essex in the next few months & we have been looking around yards. We looked around Norton Heath yesterday & we really like it facility wise (I would like indoor facilities & shows onsite as no transport) but just wondered if anyone liveries there / knows someone that liveries there?? Recommend or not??

Thanks :)

Hi , my friend was at Norton Heath , she was always saying that she could never get in the schools to work her horse and sometimes they have a cow boy weekend thing going on where they would all stay in the car park for two days so could never really get her horse out. sorry not much help good luck with the move.

I heard the same as the post above about Norton Heath. I ended up opting for a small private livery yard instead, around the corner from NH, so I could get a lot of the benefits without the negatives if you know what I mean!

If you want details of where I am, feel free to pm me.

I've only been there once, cant really comment much on schools howeverI went up with my friend, later on in evening so no one was really there and we rode in the school no problem. My friend has her own tack/feed room which I think is a great idea.

Thanks all - we went on a busy show day & they literally had the 2 indoor schools being used, the woman that showed us round said there are plenty of schools & there are never any issues getting into them. I would be going up at all different times so that may work in my favour.

Aniscoll - thanks for the offer will PM you now :)

Not liveried, but have competed there many times and love the place.

Super venue with lots on, Great staff and very well run

Good luck with your move

I liveried there for a month when I first moved to essex- I found that as the yard is very much geared to comps etc, the liveries all compete and trying to get in the arenas was a nightmare expecially as it can be booked by external groups/people so I ended up riding at 9pm most eves just to get in. Glad it was only a temp stop gap- also some horses dont settle there as its very busy on comp days....
