Norwegian Fjord

Sometimes they have some on Horsemart, there was quite alot when i was looking for my horse a few months back :)

Even if there are none listed on the fjord-horse site give Lyn a call (contact details are on the site) and she will help you. She helped me to find me then three year old (now eight year old) and I also have a deposit down on a Fjord foal through her that will hopefully be born in July (not long to wait now!). Fjords are fab!

They shouldn't be bigger than 14.2 max really but some US bred ones are big. I have one of 13.3 and another of 14.1 - both carry my 12 stone with no issues.

There are a LOT of ponies out there that people call a Fjord, look like a Fjord but are not pure Fjords. There are plenty of 'iffy' Fjords on offer (ones I don't believe are pure bred).
Good luck in finding one, they are not the cheapest, but I love them, and my friend has two Purebreds that I can ride:D

Yay, so pleased you are getting a Fjord. Ours is an absolute darling, looks after my novice Mum so, so well, but still has a bit of spark when a more experienced rider gets on him. Badger is about 14’1hh.

Sorry just because I can, can you tell I love this pony, he, he!

Just edited to say as just read post above, Badger definitely isn’t an ‘iffy’ Fjord as we have his full breeding, going back generations (we have goggled where he came from), and was imported from Norway. Not that it really matters anyway as he was bought for his personally and safeness. :)
