My horse has choke a week ago and had to be sedated and tubed. I was told to watch out for signs of pneumonia as this could be a complication of choke. Tonight I have heard him snorting through his nose quite a few times. No discharge and no other obvious signs. Haven't ridden him this week as he is lame so can't tell if he is lacking in energy. Could his nose still be a bit sore after being tubed. Really worried and don't think I'll sleep! Thank you.

Runny nose and coughing - didn't mention nose snorting. Just unfortunate haven't ridden him this week as would have a better idea if something is wrong. Will call vet out tomorrow morning. Probably just getting myself in a panic for nothing.

My pony has had choke 3 times now, and not once has anyone mentioned anything to look out for.
I've always waited for her to come out of sedation and chucked her back out in field with no problems later on.
Could this not be related to her being tubed maybe?
