Well i am thoughroughly stressed..
SO i have never competed in dressage before and this weekend wil be my first [2!] tests...
I was upset to find that waterford mouthpeices aren't dressage legal as maddie is a complete bugg3r for leaning. So i have switched her into her french link snaffle and she is leaning badly but i shall cope with it.
She's also in a flash too which will hopefullly give me some controll as she likes to go VERY fast/ tank off, which isn't that great when it comes to cantering circles/changing rein in canter.
So i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a dressage legal bit that would maybe not make her leaning as bad, bearing in mind she is quite string and doesn't go in an outline much..And if having a flash would encourage her to lean more...
Also, would an eliptical linked bit be harder to lean on or just the same?
I know that it's too short notice to get a bit for this weekend but it would be nice for the future as i would like to do a bit more dressage.
thank you!
p.s...she doesn't tolerate single jointed bits.
