My old mare is 24. Ex eventer, tb x cob. Twice now in the last 4 months ,she has had a small bleed after work from one nostril. Stops quickly. Mare is hacked out (gentle and she dictates the pace) 3-4 times a week 30 - 45 mins depending on how she feels. Turned out each day half day only as does not like being out all day. Stabled at night as does not like living out. Looks really well, bright eyed, good coat. Other odd symptoms, is weeing a lot. Blood tests ruled out Cushing etc. staff currently trying to get a wee sample which is proving pretty hard to do though I am beginning to go with the whole " only wee in her own stable". Thoughts?

Did the nosebleed follow on from a hoon around the field or anything?

From what I've read, as they get older the mucous membranes get a little more fragile, and damage more easily, my horse started to get occasional bleeds when she was about 21, I spoke to the vet, and they said as long as it was one nostril, and didn't last long, not to worry about it.
