Just wondered whos horse also does this....

Whilst out hacking they are totally nosey and walk into things whilst staring into people gardens!?

The other day she walked into a hedge whilst staring down someones driveway!

I think its so funny that I dont bother to pull her away before impact with the hedge... is that wrong??!!!

lol thats funny.. Betty watches whilst out sometimes.. its so bloody anoying.. also when she is having a spook look at things im always tempted to shout "boo" lol

My horse is always tripping over things because she's so busy looking around. She's busy checking to see who's cut their grass and which colour front door she likes !

in her younger days my mare used to stop to look at the reflection of herself in peoples windows and stare and snort. That was always funny. Bless her - she never seemed to cotton on it was her at all LOL

My mare won't let anyone pass her on foot without giving them a good inspection, and I mean the whole face to face thing not a quick glance up and down, they will have to stop and say hello and then she checks their pockets, just in case!

Customs has nothing on Rosie!

No, mine prefers a nice view, the more scenic the better. Get to a good viewpoint and she will stop and admire the scenery. Try to make her stand still any other time and it won't happen!

Anyone notice all the replies are about mares. Coincidence? Or are mares just nosier than geldings?

Both of mine are definantely into a nice view too!! My friends horse stopped and stared at a bloke having a pee in a hedge and refused to move. I don't know who was more enbarassed!!

Yup. Murphy loves to look into driveways and down narrow lanes, though he's never walked into anything. I'm sure he'd happily jump some of the hedges if it meant seeing the other side.

My gelding is v.nosey. If I'm riding outside he's not too bad 'cos he can see everything/everyone but if I'm indoors he stares over the gate everytime I pass it. It's like he doesn't want to miss anything.

He also loves looking at himself in the mirror. Once I've finished schooling I usually walk him on a loose rein for a while & everytime we walk along the top end of the arena he admires his reflection. He's so vain!!!
