I found a box of rosettes in the barn and decided to have a throw out as many had been nibbled! I really should have binned the lot but just couldnt do it! LOL! I used to write on the back and date them when I was younger. So I found rosettes form Crispins first competitions. He is now 33. I found some from Radnage riding school where we went on a course when he was 5. I found Ricky's first rosette as a two year old (he is now 31) and I found some that my old pony won (she died 2 years ago). I put them in the rubbish sack then had to get them out again.

So I still have a pile of old rosettes!

Anyone else like this?

Yes! I still have all my rosettes ive ever won. With dates and the horse on the back too! They are in a box but i would never throw them out. Rosettes are a bit more hard to come by these days

LOL! I have 30 years of rosettes! I didnt throw away any first place rosettes unless they were really manky! I had no idea I had won so many! Not hundreds but I honestly thought I had only been first a handful of times! I got rid of the tatty ones and the clear round and XC ride ones. Some of them are from shows that no longer exist. Some from places I cant even remember!

i've got all of mine, not that i won many! love reading the back ( i wrote on them too)
i love showing them to my kids - and they seem mildly impressed!
mine are about 30+ years old!
they are all on show in an old caravan in my field where i keep the feed bins. x

I've still got all of mine too. Most of the old ones are pinned up in one big mass up the stairs. The 'current' ones are in the sitting room. I could never thrown any of them away - so many have lovely memories attached to them.

Oh yes, I love reading old test sheets, even if it is just to find the most hilarious comments!

I have folders full of them

LOL! I have some of my dressage sheets but not all! I have a feeling I have my first one somewhere! Prelim 5 or 6! I only remember as they were about the only ones ever used!

We haven't got that many, but they are never thrown away

The old ones are in a file and the current ones are on a corkboard in the kitchen

We still write who won them, for what and when! (well we need to know if they are mine and my mares or my sistersand her mare)

Throwing rosettes away is like throwing teddies away.

I can't do either, I can't remember what I did a year ago today, but I can look at a faded rosette and I can remember the pony and everything! I shipped hundreds of faded bits of card and ribbon 3500 miles when I left the UK. Happily threw out rugs, photos and books but my ribbons were coming with me.

I have several bin liners full cluttering up the attic, moved from house to house with me, taking up valuable storage space! I too can remember details from each one although some of them are pretty old now. They bring back lovely memories (mostly!!), even though they are never on show these days

I have all of my rosettes on display or kept. My first gymkhana rosette is still in a box somewhere (I rode Jumbo and got 3rd). The ones I have displayed are all of Genie's this last year, my polo tournament one, and Mazzie's two (a fun ride and 6inch clear round jumping). Mum keeps saying to throw them out or have a clear up, but there's NO WAY.

I cant believe you shipped them to Canada!

I still have a draw full of cuddly toys! They need to go next! But I wont be able to bin them they will have to go to charity.

I will never part with my Sindy horse!

It was interesting looking at the comments on the back as I stopped jumping Crispin at some point as he was never really happy about it. I think he was about 10. So my jumping rosettes for him stop about 1986.

Yes mine are stored away in a box in my wardrobe with dates, venues and horses on the back along with any test sheets etc. I could never get rid of them but I will happy add to them!
