I hope the bank holiday turns out better!

Yesterday ended up having a major fall out with someone on the yard after catching her absolutely beating her horse up (because it spooked at a helicopter lunging and got loose) Some people really do make me sick.

Then tonight, brought twig my 5yo in for her tea to find her with a very fat and hot leg around the hock area but not a single mark there? Hoping to god she hasnt pulled something or done something horrible to herself. Cold hosed and two sachets of bute. Thought about bringing her in tonight but figured if shes moving it will help the swelling.

Argh!!!!! Lets hope the weekend is better!

I'm with you on this one - hope your weekend gets better!

If it makes you feel any better I have 3 horses and not one of them rideable

and then today my car has developed a major problem, and I mean major... like possibly a combination of fuel injectors, knackered catalytic converter and something knocking/grinding in the air intake. Given that its an Isuzu Trooper it will literally run into thousands to fix

. And guess what I'm off to Wales on Tuesday so have had to hire a car just to add insult to injury

The only consolation Georgiegirl is that Ive always found the more dramatic the symptoms, the better the outcome normally is (eg hopping lame usually just a stone in hoof or twang when hooleying in field), whereas the mild, persistent lameness seems to be the hardest to resolve. It doesnt mean you shouldnt worry, but you might not need to worry in direct proportion to the size of the hock

good luck, hope it isnt too bad
