I have had the saddler up today to look at the giraffe's saddle - not such good news on that side of things ,really going to need a new saddle in the next 6 months due to him changing shape so while I save(or live on beans and toast for the next 6 months

) we have kitted him out with a prolite pad (£45 down ) but I asked what she thought I could get for my saddle - its only 2 years old but is ridden in alot and is in a communal tack room so does have a few bumps and scraps ,bit of a weird size 18" narrow and from a good but reasonably unknown brand (meadowcreek) and she said £500 woo hoo

only paid £200 for brand new so may only have to go 3 months on beans on toast now

Mine was looking ok until I decided to wear my waterproofs out hacking and the zip part twisted round withotu me noticing and I now have some fetching little zip imprints on my saddle flaps opps serve me right for trying to keep dry
