Hello all! Sorry I haven't been in much recently!

*Bad Dani!* How is everyone and their dogs?
Just thought I'd give you a bit of an update on Jet, if you don't mind that is.
Well, he had his first Christmas with us and was a lot better behaved than we had imagined. He just sat in the chair while we opened our presents, and we bought him a snuggley blanket which he is now rather fond of

He is back to full health now finally, and has put on 13kg (I *think*) and is a perfect weight for his build, although we're still getting different guesses at what his breed is lol!
We started agility lessons at the beginning of January which he is loving! (Possiby a little too much) but he has a lot of talent and is very brave, bless him

Anyway, here are some photos from walks we've had in the last few weeks

Just a reminder, this was Jet when he came home from hospital, after his massive operation, and he wasn't even allowed off the lead in the garden

Just out of curiosty, is he difficult on the lead? (as noticed you are using a halti)

Well, what with not being allowed off the lead for two and a half months, he did get slightly difficult.
We were having a few problems with him, but he seems to be getting better now, and doesn't pull nearly as much as we've been working very hard with him. I know some people on here hate haltis, but it was getting to the point where mum wouldn't walk him on her own because she wasn't enjoying it.

He's a rescue isn't he? He seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds since you got him. What was his illness? I remember seeing the pictures of him after he came home from the vets, but can't recall what had happened?

As far as I'm concerned go with what works for you!

I'm glad to hear it's getting easier to walk him. Some dogs can be a real nightmare on the lead. I know our Windsor thought a lead was a tow line to help walk/drag the person

Yeah, he was rescued in April, so so glad we got a rescue, he's been so rewarding!
He inhailed loads of grass seeds, which went through his lung wall and got stuck, then got infected and all the puss seeped into his lungs and made it very difficult for him to breathe. He was in a specialist hospital for 2 weeks and was having his lungs drained twice a day, and looked to be getting better, but went downhill very suddenly one night, and so we got a phonecall in the morning saying if they didn't operate now, he would be dead by the evening. They opened up his chest, and found loads of grass seeds and attached themselves to his lungs, and so had to cut away loads of puss and seeds.
That was back in October, and you wouldn't know he'd ever had a problem now, apart from the white hairs on his sides where the drains were.

Aww were you really Thistle! That's really sweet of you!
Prose, yeah, he is a great running companion, although I think he gets a bit bored at the end, because he tends to lag behind a bit lol! It's the only time I can tire him out entirely!
