My little westie has strange eating habits...she sometimes wont eat any of her breakfast and I end up throwing it all away, sometimes she'l pick at it, sometimes shel eat it all.
Should I be worried, shes not losing weight or anything, and eats her other food later in the day ok. Perhaps she just doesnt want to eat in the morings? Shes still bouncy and happy

You are probably feeding her too much. Put her food down, if she doesn't eat it, take it away. She will soon learn to eat when she sees the food because it won't be available later in the day.

Prob just not hungry.

I put the dog's meals down and she has a set time allowed to eat it (not like a minute but if its not eaten in ten then it gets removed).

If not eated, I represent at the next meal time and so on and so on til its eaten (obv if you feed kibble then it will be the same meal anyways)

I don't change the meal or add bits in to tempt her, cos I dont want her to become fussy and hold out cos she knows I'll cave in and give her other stuff.

BTW - what are you feeding?

Over feeding. My small jrt has one foil tray cesar a day and she does not eat in the morning but it will be all gone by end of the day. I shouldn't worry too much. They only have small tummys.

She is having Winalot puppy tins, only the minimum amount that she is suppose to have too. Maybe she just isnt hungry in the mornings. I will remember not to leave it there for more than a few minutes though

Otto doesn't eat his breakfast either, he wolfs his dinner down though!
He is too excited to see is in the morning to concern himself with food!

He picks at it and walks aways, he gets 10 minutes from when he walks away to it being put out of reach.

He used to it with his dinner too, but he quickly caught on that meant he went hungry all day!

I'm not concerned until he starts losing weight or being quieter than normal (although it would be quite nice!)

I would not even bother feeding her breakfast, if she is not eating it, she is obs gettng enough in her evening meal, if she is not loosing weight, don't worry about it.

Is the food different in the morning? Cos if it is I'd say she's holding out for dinner cos its nicer!

How old is she? maybe she only needs one meal a day?

It is the same food apart from the odd occasion when she has a little bit of roast if we have it
