Not enough Hounds.

Hello all,
I buy H&H for work reasons (I am not a horsey person), each week I hope there are actually pages dedicated to hounds however I am always disappointed.
Am I being silly by expecting it to be around 50% Horse and 50% Hound? Has there been stories regarding BARF raw etc or current issues surrounding certain breeds?
Enlighten me.

In answer to your question - not really, the only hounds they are interested in really seem to be 'hound hounds' - as in hunting hounds.

Have you had a look at any of the specific dog magazines?:)
 
What mags should I be looking out for? I like big dogs if that helps :P
I had always envisaged that it would cover general concerns vis-à-vis dogs.
 
There are a few dog ones, they seem to be monthly? They stock them in my local supermarkets, not sure which ones are good though as I don't really buy them myself:) But I read them at the vets sometimes.

If you join the GSD mafia you could subscribe to the League magazine or the Breed Council Magazine if you join, they have good informative articles.
 
I'm partial to Dog World (when I get it). But yes, HH is more about hunting type hounds so I must admit that I don't read those sections. However, if they had sections about other types of breeds I probably would. But that would be taking away from the whole point of Horse and Hound, which has it's roots in "hunting" (with horse and hound)

NB: I really should not try to explain anything at 6 am...
