I have to go away with work again next week (groan) and unfortunately it seems the lovely people who normally look after Henry for me cannot do so this time

My parents can, but he will be all alone all day on Monday, and they aren't too keen to have him anyway

So am trying to find a kennels - thought my vet might be able to point me to one, so called them this evening.

'We aren't allowed to recommend one' says the lady - well ok, fair enough. She then started looking through a book to give me a name but couldn't find it.

'There is one I'd avoid,' she says (H_R awaits with bated breath)... 'but I can't tell you which one,' she goes on.

Greeeat - so I know there's one to avoid but have no clue which one

Fortunately my groomer could recommend one, no answer when I called the kennel though so have left a message.

All fingers and paws crossed I find one please - or H_R will have some serious sucking up to do to the folks!

Are their any dog groups like obediance classes etc you could ring round for recommendations?

I could recommend one, with space at the moment, however it's a wee bit far from you

There are - the one the groomer recommended is one a few people have pointed out as good in the past, I'd just forgotten the name! They called back and they do have space, I'm going to pop over and see it tomorrow as it's very close to work so hopefully it will be ok.

Otherwise it's back to the drawing board...

Slinky, I might take you up on that! There is another one local but they have to vaccinated against kennel cough and I'm not sure if I can get the vaccination done in time (going to call now and find out). Bah, hate this!
