So I recently bought a Horseware Rambo Amigo Mio Fly Rug from the Saddleryshop.co.uk the rug started to fall to bits within 2 weeks.
I contacted the saddleryshop they intern said they would contact the manufacture ( which is not my problem as I bought the item from the saddleryshop )
The item was deemed to be fault and a refund was offered by thesaddlershop great. The rug cost £33.33 + £15 postage to France.
Thesaddlershop offered to refund the rug only. I explained to them you have shipped me a faulty product do you think it is fare that I am out of pocket.
Answer not our problem horseware will only credit us for the rug.
Not exactly good customer service and I for one shall now shop elsewhere.

Its a horseware Amigo, rambo is made by horseware but is a different model

You bought the rug from saddleryshop but they didnt make it. Horseware accepted it was faulty & credited/replaced the item. Its not the shops fault. This is different to if you say returned a top to Next as next manufactor the clothes and can credit you

in respect to the postage most places charge at cost +vat and therefore would be the same as if you drove to a shop and then asked for the petrol back...

BTW I dont work for saddleryshop, never even heard them. Buut I do own a saddlery

It is completely standard for purely the item cost to be refunded on all returns. The P&P has been incurred by them to send you the rug.

Its not their fault the P&P is so high because you are in a different country. Not yours either, but not theirs too.

If you dont want to lose P&P if returning an item, you need to shop in person.

Or you could try asking Horseware for it, but I suspect the idea of postage being similar to the petrol to visit a store and buy it would come into play. Of course you shouldnt and assume you didnt get charged any postage on the non fault replacement item you were sent.

I asked for the product to be changed with a different rug & I was willing to pay any difference on the rug but not willing to be stung for a second lot of postage they were unwilling to send a new rug postage free.
The Saddleryshop sell to European market hence the reason I purchased from them. However when I am told oh its a manufacturing fault and end up out of pocket I am not happy.
So I for one will not shop at The saddleryshop again I would not recommend to any one to buy the Horseware Rambo Amigo Mio Fly Rug as it is clearly of poor quality. I do own other Horseware products which I am happy with.
