So bring in madam last night at 6.30pm, stops frequently across the yard (not normal), pop in stable turns up nose at feed and hay (very not normal).
Then she starts pawing the ground, wandering round the box, looks a lil colic-ey, raised pulse and respiration.
Think THIS IS IT!!!!!!

Keeps this up till 11.30pm when food becomes interesting again starts eating and everything stops!

Am pretty sure it is my fault that at 11pm i put it on facebook that foally was coming, and she stopped.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr just want this foal to be here now!!!!!

Better living through patisserie! You deserve many buns. Having spent fruitless nights in the barn listening to mares sounding as though they might expire at any second and then stand up and go to sleep, I feel your pain!

Gotta laugh, one of mine did the same last night, put her out this morning, in my showfield as nice grass and close by, and with an audience that were here for a BSJA junior regional final she popped out her Warrior filly at 12 noon!!
I nearly felt sorry for the kids as no-one was watching the jumping, they were all watching my mare!!

Yep...that sounds right...Ive had that for the last 3 nights!! Dont you just love mares!! :)

i know how you feel, i have been up watching cctv of my mare all last week, i'v come to the conclusion i'm just no good at reading the signs. Hey its my birthday in 3 minutes so lets hope we have some for my bday hey???? goodluck :)

The one we're watching now did this last night.. we were so sure she was going to foal. Right up til the point where she got down and flopped around like a fish out of water, so convincingly.. but nothing. Then spend the whole night pacing, belly kicking, pulling faces and various things, and we're still sat here watching! :(
