Maybe it's a sign? Just seem to have had quite a bit of bad luck recently with ordering stuff online!!! I won't name companies for legal reasons...

Last month I desperatly wanted a new bit for Bean and found one I wanted from an online bit company. Phoned up and ordered the bit. 9 days later the bit hasn't arrived so I phone the company up. Guy on the phone says sorry but they forgot to write down what size bit I wanted yet hadn't bothered to phone me back to ask? So he promises to send it that day with guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next day. Because it was a tuesday and I'm at work I gave the work address as it had to be signed for. So the next day the bit doesn't arrive!!! Phone them and he tells me it was sent but not guaranteed next day. I'm not at work again for 4 day but when I get back to work no one has tried to deliver a parcel. Phone them up again and he admits it hasn't been posted?! At this point I told him to shove it!

Then 2 weeks ago almost I order a new bridle and reins online from a different store. After 7 days nothing arrives so I phone up and get told normal deliver time is 7 - 10 day so I decide to wait a little longer. On the 10th day just the reins turn up with a messy note saying bridle to follow! Yes, because the reins are so much use to me alone! grrrrr. So we are now 14 since I made he order, no bridle and no one has tried to contact me to explain there is a delay ect! Phone up and guy says they are expected in the end of the week. So I was ment to wait for 3 weeks without out anyone contacting me to explain!

Try to go with large, professional looking stores as opposed to googling for items and going with the cheapest.

Some online stores dont carry ANY stock and are literally a website that buys from the manufacturers as the orders come in. Theres zero regulations on this. I could whip up a pretty website this afternoon and advertise all manner or products that i dont have in stock.

It does sound like you've had awful luck though

They are pretty big stores really, not little tack shops. I don't mind them not having stuff in stock, its the lies and lack of commmunication!

That happened to me and after 30 days waiting I threatened to go to trading standards and guess what... they finally sat up, paid attention and gave me the refund I had politely asked for weeks prior.

Wold love to debdeb but I live on the end of a welsh peninsula and nearest tack shop is 1.5 hours away. Did go there and they didn't have the bridle I wanted.

There are a couple of places that I would never use again but lately I have been quite lucky and got everything I wanted. However, my main gripe is that I can never find exactly what I want all at the same place. I'll find one thing in one shop but they won't have the other things I want.
