As post said, anyone any tips, will be just me and Gareth (11) first trip without late husband, and he wants to do euro disney on the train. I am wary of traveling on own ,
Very easy trip - even easier if you get the disney train which takes you straight to the disney station from London. It was freezing when I went in February a few years ago so keep an eye on the forecast and take appropriate clothing. The good thing was that we didn;t' have to queue for anything, but the early in the day rides had ice on the seats!
It is really easy. I booked a really good deal on the Eurostar website. The train took me from London straight to the Disney station, then there are regular shuttle buses that go to all the Disney hotels. My friend and I managed on our own when we were 16 (which is saying quite alot!) We had a brilliant time!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA pretty much everyone there speaks really good english, so if french isn't your forte you don't need to worry!!!!!!!
You will be fine, you can drive to ashford and get on there also, whatevers easiest for you.
I went a few years ago just me and my son who was 4 then. You will have lots of fun. If you stay in one of the disney hotels you have a special pass to get into the parks an hour earlier than everyone else. And when you get off the train you just check in your luggage at the station and go straight off to the park, and they deliver your case to your room. On the way home they collect your luggage from your room and take it to the station.
You can also fasttrack the rides, you put your ticket into the machine near the ride and it gives you another ticket with a time on that you go back to get on the ride quicker. Less queing and saves time.
Sometimes they do offers on half board worth looking into as food is expensive there.
Run away train ride is great, so is the buffalow bill wild west show!
As FMM said, check the weather forecast, we've been in the winter and it was colder than a skiing holiday!! Great fun though, we went in term time and there was zero queueing!
