Ok think i am going mad. About ten days ago was at home alone (no people just my doggit) and i smelt a really strong smell of freshly dug ground. then doggit was staring into the kitchen with his head tilted and trying to look at me with his other eye. Anyway thought nothing of it.

Then today at work was in my office with at least 3 other people and smelt the smell again - i wasn't the only person who smelt it either one other person did but not the others. It was there for a couple of minutes and then it went - just like that.

I sometimes get the feeling i am being watched or there is someone in the room wether at work or at home.

My great uncle died at Xmas - he was more like my grandpa and i thought of him as that as i didn't have any grandparents (they all died either before i was born or when i was small). Thing is i don't remember being around my uncle particularly gardening although i do remember his garden at his old house being amazingly done and him doing the gardening and feeding the fish in his pond (this was from when i was under the age of 8)

Any help guys?

I'm not sure I completely believe, but I've experienced some unexplainable things so I don't rule it out! According to some, we all have a guardian angel - maybe your uncle is taking over the role? Or maybe he has a message for you before he rests?

Go and see a clairvoyant if you're interested - careful what you tell them first though - you don't want them picking up on things you say and guessing!

Not sure that we have any permanent clairvoyants on the island but maybe i will check.

Things are still going on surrounding my uncle and i have a picture of him in my conservatory and i tell him morning and goodnight and that i miss him (weird to some people i know). It just makes me feel better.

I believe in the after life to many things ive experienced not to, if you want to know more go see a medium but honestly say nothing they can use to guess from.

I will think about seeing a medium. Just getting over divorce, have to go through the financial settlement yet and of course my uncle's death so maybe now isn't the right time.

We went to a psychic evening at a local pub on Tuesday night. It was quite good, although no-one "came through" for any of us. Anyhow, on Wednesday morning I got up and was downstairs, alone, putting my coat on to go out to the horses at 6am, when suddenly, from in the kitchen, our iPod speakers started blasting out a song!! They are portable too, not plugged into the mains, so can't even have switched on by a power surge or something! I was well freaked out and couldn't stop shaking!

I do believe in ghosts/afterlife, etc. If it is your uncle watching over you then I think you should take some comfort from that, especially at this difficult stage in your life.

Thanks for that - my mum has said the same - if it doesn't freak me out and i feel better thinking that then i shouldn't worry. I'm going to wait and see sometimes there are visiting clairvoyants to the island so maybe i will go then.

yes, i do, and i have had very positive and enlightening sessions with a medium. i told her nothing, she came up with some very very impressive and accurate stuff.
i think i'd talk out loud if you think something's there.

Both my sister and I have 'seen' horses in our field, who died at home. Not sure if they are really there or whether it is some memory thing, but it happens quite a lot and has done for years. If it is them then it would quite nice as they were all well loved members of the family.

I would strongly advice against visitng any clairvoyants or mediums, it is very dangerous to dabble in the occult, as a committed christian, I have seen some very messed up people, who have been to see mediums etc, and to answer your question, yes I believe in a spiritual world, that consists of good (GOD) and evil (satan).

course i do, we have 2 at home,
they dont show themselfs, but one of them makes the room go cold, and the other 1 (my first GSD) keeps flicking his ears at me when he is sat on my knee

doesnt bother me

According to the experts on Ghosthunters the feeling of being watched etc can be caused by electromagnetic fields (EMF), which are caused by electrical equipment and power lines, if it's neither of these things then you might be onto something. If that's the case (no electrics near by) then get a tape recorder, set it on record and leave it in the place, you might get EVP.

Don't go to a clairvoyant, find a local paranormal group and get them to come have a look
