I really really wouldn't worry a lot of horses went horrendously and there was equally some terrible riding but it has made me wonder how beneficial to horses it is. Most that went into that ring were completely shell shocked by it and didn't go their best, even the intermediates at the end of the day.
I would put it down to experience, the bright lights, people watching, spooky fences etc all contribute to things and aim for the VV ones which have less pressure on and kinder courses

Yes, am aiming to get out and do some more SJ, he has only been out a hand full of times, and needs more comp experience before we go back to "big" atmospheres I think.
