[Ambers Echo]

She’s a business asset since she retired from being my personal riding horse and is now an Equine Assisted Therapy horse and broodmare.

I need to assign her a value for my accounts. Realistic current market value. I don’t have a clue!


11 years old in foal to Ebony Duke (class 1 RID)
By Beach Ball ( Obos Quality and Echo Beach) out of a Classic Vision mare.

Retired as mild navicular changes meant jumping and dressage were not advised. Could hack but I didn’t want to. Healthy and easy, polite, well mannered.

ETA it just has to be a figure HMRC will accept. But I don’t want to under value her either.

Going by the current broodmare market (they used to have very little to no value but thankfully that has changed) and the fact she has done a bit herself and is a quality mare, but the sire would not be the most commercial:

In foal- 5k
Not in foal- 3k

You are only looking for an accounts value reasonable estimate. I would use £5000, it's an appropriate round number.
