It doesn’t really show on pictures because of his colour, but I don’t think Ace is going to be the ‘thin and rangy’ sort of greyhound I originally anticipated 😊 Just a couple of months on decent food (OK, a LOT of decent food!) and he has really changed shape and bulked up, he is huge now 😂😂😂

And this is me taking him for a walk now.....😛

Thank you SK 😊😊 I know I always say this but rescues are so rewarding.... he has changed from a skinny, moth-eaten stressed out boy into a happy, playful mini tank 😂 His coat is not quite there yet but it will come with time, he is such a sweetie (in a large sort of way!)

Ace looks just..... ace! (sorry.)
Have to agree with your comment about how rewarding they are. We are on our 3rd retired greyhound. (Retired from racing, not retired from being a greyhound.) Each one has been scared half to death by men when they have come to live with us, fortunately my husband and son have both won them all over slowly but surely. Each one has had a haunted, fearful look in their eyes and when you realise that that look has gone and has been replaced with a contented, happy, relaxed look, is the most wonderful feeling.

Two of our labs were not rescues in the conventional sense, but both came from an unsuitable home that did not see them as a priority. Spot was largely left to defend for herself when she was in fact, a dog who craved routine and Jakey was an unwanted gift, deemed an ugly duckling and was gotten rid of at 7 months old. Our other lab, The Yellow Peril came from a home where she was much loved but circumstances changed and they could not offer her the exercise she needed so she came to us and has morphed into a very mature 2 year old. Feel very honoured to have been able to offer them all a secure home, Spot has gone now but will never be forgotten. 🐾😍❤️

£130 per month Clodagh - he has been getting 1/2 kilo of Arden Grange a day 😳 I’m starting to cut him down a bit now 😄
