Not Sure, Hog or Not Hog??

Winter Coming, Cold Nights and Wet Fields
My Welsh D only has half a mane due to his neck rugs rubbing it out over the winter and even in the summer when rugless except some days fly rugs his mane has never grown back.

He does very well at showing but i know that at some shows his mane will be a problem so i was thinking of maybe hogging him this winter ready for next seasons showing shows and a few showing shows over the winter.

My Mini-Shetland had sweetitch and rubbed half his mane out so hogged him and his whole mane came back and came back really quickly

So do you think i should hog or not?

Hog hog hog looks way smarter and a million times easier to look after, especially if you're showing... doesn't require plaiting, just a quick touch up

Personally I dislike hogged welsh d's. They look much nicer with a full mane

What showing do you do? Surely Sec D's need their mane to be correct in breed showing?

Hog! I hogged my tbx one season best thign I ever did soooooooooo easy to get ready, just wish I could get away with hogging my full tb

Hog!! I have just hogged my lad(connie x) and it is sooo much easier, he also looks very smart!

Personally, unless he's a show cob don't hog. Sec D's look best IMO with lovely locks even if only half a mane
