Not sure if my mare is pregnant help!

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but we need advice!

In a bit of a predicament! Me and my mum got a new horse 3 weeks ago and she developed a cough so we had the vet out and she wasn’t to cornered about It! BUT she pointed out that her teats are leaking milk and there quite swollen! ?we don’t no this mare well enough to see weather her temperament has changed or a anything!! But her milk was squirting out! Vet mentioned cushings but she isn’t showing other symptoms/ mastitis but again no other noticeable symtoms! We are aware she was with a stallion but he was a Shetland and she was also in the field next to a “RIG” she’s a 15”3 TB.she come to us quite underweight and she has put a lot of weight on but again we put this down to good grass and a healthy diet since she’s been with us! ? I’ll post photos below! The vet has taken a blood test to see if she is in fact pregnant!
Has any one had a pregnant mare and not been aware,if so when did she start producing milk?
The last 24 hours her vulva has changed shape too and she quite cranky!
There is a before and after of when she first arrived to now and then some photos that are before after.the left photos are befores & and the rights are today.My friend said it looks like her teats are getting bigger.
We’re still waiting for blood results to come back but I’ve been hearing there not reliable at all.

Edit- the milk is quite whitish

Was it an equine vet that examined her?

I’d say there’s every possibility of her being in foal.

Yes it was an equine vet that we no very well,she said she felt something but didn’t want to say for sure,hence bloods being taken! do you think she looks in foal? Or her vulva looks that of a pregnant mare!? Been anxiously waiting for the results since last Thursday! ??
 
Well if you are at the point of milk and vulva elongation then, if in foal, you would be very close - a vet should be able to easily feel the foal on a manual exam.

Her body shape doesn’t scream pregnant to me. But obviously with the other signs you can’t rule it out.
Chase up those bloods, they should have the results by now.
 
Any news op. Another way to tell she is soon (assuming she is pregnant) would be if the inside of her vulva is a scarlet red or turning more red. Also if she was in foal would you be happy or is this a dang it thing?
 
I hope this has a happy ending but it may not. If she was close to foaling the vet should have been able to feel the foal.
I had a mare who was definitely in foal but suddenly about 3 months before due started pouring milk despite not being bagged up. Vet came and injected her with something to help her hold onto the foal. She stopped running milk and seemed ok, then when nearly due we found her with a tiny dead foal. Vet came and did a manual, found another even tinier mummified foal still inside her. The running milk episode had presumably when the first twin died.
I really hope this is not a sign of anything going wrong if she is in foal, fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Hey ,, she won’t let me near her back end,she’s really fidgety and up and down all night (we have a cam) I think I’d be happy,I’ve come round to the idea of her possibly being pregnant and she’s had such a tough life before she came to us,I think it would be nice for her to have something to love and concentrate on! But as the days go by in not feeling so hopeful anymore ?.

I’m hoping she is pregnant and everything is okay! She’s had such a tough life,previous owner used to smack her in the face and whip her legs so I’ve been told! ? she’s such a sweet and loving mare she would be a fantastic mummy! Think it would give her some comfort and give her something to focus on and love! But as said below as the days go on I’m not feeling so hopeful anymore which is sad! Oh god that’s awful! So sorry you and your mare went through that! I am curious as to what my vet would of touched as she wasn’t sure if it was a foal or not! ? hence the bloods being taken! ?
 
I wouldn't think she looks in foal, but mares can be deceptive. This has been a weird year for breeding/foaling and really you'll just have to keep an eye on her until you know one way or the other. The vet should have been able to tell by pelvic floor tone and palpating the cervix, never mind "feeling" a foal, so not sure what's going on there.
