Dont get me wrong in the title, I don't despise, hate or having any problems with my new horse. But being short myself, i really miss always having ponies.
I thought it would be a nice change, so ive got a 16.1hh tb. But it's just no fun :/ I'm sounding mad aren't I? Well I just find I cant wrap my leg round and under, it's like holding a double decker bus togeather and it throws my position all sorts of terrible, slopply places. I find handling on the floor makes no difference in size, other than having to tip toe to plait... But riding is a different question. I was always told if you get a horse that's too small then you can throw yourself off balance easily, but didn't realise if you got one possibly too big you'd feel like a pea on a mountain. Ok ok so I'm over exagurating as it is all going very well, but why am I finding it so hard to adapt and enjoy ??? Feel a bad mum wishing such a lovely new horse could shrink
