Not sure what to do with mare

Bear with me, this may be long
I have a ISH who is the most accident prone and unlucky horse i've owned but love him dearly. I also have a Tb who I used to own, sold about 5 years ago, then found out they were planning to sell her so bought her back as ISH spends more time out of work than in work to have as my 'second' horse. However as ISH is coming back into work - daily walk/trotting atm, TB isn't getting enough excercise (she already has a sharer but she only does 2x a week) and can play up (understandably!)
This week i've have 3 days off work, so after riding TB all weekend and everyday this week (so far) she is a much nicer person and has really enjoyed the 1 to 1 attention which normally I don't have time to give her.
It has really made me think and wonder what to do with her, I've been looking for another sharer but no luck so far and current one cant commit to any more days. Do I put her on loan? Do I sell her to someone that does have the time for her to be their 'first' horse? - which I think is what she'd enjoy
But on a selfish note if/ when ISH breaks again I'll have nothing to ride and if he does have to retire sooner rather than later will I regret selling her?
(ISH isn't going anywhere - even though he is the most logical to go!)

Still hasn't helped writing it down, but can offer ribena and mint aero
 
You could look for a loaner that would keep her at your current yard?
I know its hard to find loaners/sharers but dont give up hope!! Try advertising on preloved, i found a part loaner for my non ridden mare who just wanted a horse to fuss for a bit until she had built her confidence up :) So if i can find a loaner/sharer im sure your mare can!
 
Try advertising at your local riding school and equestrian college for a sharer, if you don't want a massive financial contribution then you will probably find someone. Also your local university may have students who have left their horse at home or sold their horse before they left for uni and would love to keep up their riding so stick some notices up there too and contact the uni riding club.

If you need the help consider a share that doesn't involve a financial contribution, just the help you need.
 
I think you have to try all options, as I think you are looking for a very specific person and it isn't the time of year to start new things.

One plan might be to put the ISH out to grass for the Winter and concentrate on the TB, as it sounds to me the type of horse you either ride properly - or don't bother.

Another option might be to put the TB out for the winter and get the loaner to share the ISH? They might like the change?

Other plan is to put TB up for sale or loan and ISH up for loan and see who turns ups - if you like them fine, if not then you don't have to do anything!

Flexibility is the key here, just get the word around (feed merchants, teachers, farriers, tack shops) and see what happens!!
 
ISH can only be walked and trotted atm so probably not very appealing and equally he needs work to keep his joints moving so unfortunately turning him away wouldn't work.
I could turn TB out but she does love to work so would it be fair on her?
Will put some more ads up and hope!
