not swamp fever near chippenham

the yard i was worried about yesterday by all accounts does not have swamp fever but was confirmed and written about a few weeks ago in the horse and hound as haveing TICK fever...but i have to say at the moment i'm at a lost as to what that is aswell....
 
Ugh grim. Cant say I fancy tick fever either, tho in this country I would be surprised! Its caused by a stripey legged tick. Worst case - death (unusual) My dad had it when we were living abroad. He ended up in hospital with fever et al.

Like I said, I would be surprised if that tick could survive in this country
