Not the best start to the week. RIP Dez

RIP DEZ x I lost my old boy 36yrs old TB to a freak accident in the field in April. He was the same( i got him at 26 meant to be 16!!!) , unridable, crazy horse, passed from pillar to post. His owner had him on constant loans to horrendous people who starved him and strapped him down with standing martingales, flash and pelhams trying to control him. I had a fun 5 yrs riding him. He was rode in a snaffle or a dutch gag and was a perfect gentleman so sweet just misunderstood! His owner was never seen again after i loaned him (i wonder why!!!) Similar story to Dez, R.I.P Dez and Major x Probably galloping around over rainbow bridge as we speak xx

It's always so easy to blame yourself for things like this, but it wasn't your fault. The wormer could have been total coincidence. I lost my 35 year old to colic caused by something that had been growing for probably years inside her and chose 27th August 2011 to cause heartbreak.

He made it to a fab old age and was well loved. He was a lucky old boy to have people around who were able to make the decision to end his suffering quickly.
