My first pony used to be turned out on the lawn in the summer - kept the grass down and had the added bonus of removing all them moss as well. He used to pull it out but drop it from his mouth and all we had to do was rake it up!
 
:D That isn't a lawn it is a summer paddock;)

If I had decent fencing I'd do the same.
 
Lol haha bless her...she's usually in her little strip/mud paddock, but is having an hour or so mowing the lawn for us each day :p Our other fields back onto it over the post and rails, so she's got company when the other horses wander down :) plus the other paddock opposite the cottage has the other neddies in too so she'squite content bless her!

She don't care...though dog club have just arrived and have the kids faces plastered to windows staring at her in shock haha! Wonder how many are going 'Muuuuuum can we keep a pony in our garden' :p
