Anyone been?
My friend fancies a lesson after being away from horses for a year and i've been roped along too :') Wondering what it's like and what the horses are like :D

I went many years ago for a hack, wasn't the best imo and I wouldn't have said the horse I got was the most suitable RS horse (naughty 3yo cob with lots of growing to do, bucking and rearing) but I will say though it's probably not the worst place I've been to.

If you're wanting a good lesson on decent horses (think they have competition horses too, but never having had a lesson there, only competed) try trent valley equestrian centre, over Southwell way. :) From Notts it would be easy to access as you could possibly hop on a train to Fiskerton which is literally across the road. They've got a lovely big indoor school and quite a few outdoor schools and a XC course.

Honestly i'd be quite happy if I got given something that's abit of a challenge to ride :') Wasn't much looking forward to being given to typical RS plod that knows to just trot/canter to the back of the ride and be done with it D: Every time i've tried to go for "refresher" lessons over the years when I feel my riding is getting sloppy, I end up at places where the instructor doesn't care one jot about my position (which is usually what I need them to care about! I develop bad habit of piano hands when left to my own devices haha)

I'll have a look at trent valley equestrian centre. No idea where it is and as we're from Derby, can't be tooo far away!
