Novice 20 - couple of questions...

Did I see mention that there are now 2008 tests?

I'm doing riding club dressage on Sunday, decided to do Novice this time not prelim, and its on the newsletter as just Novice 20 - no year... so I assume its 2007 - or can anyone tell me if there are significant changes between 2007 and 2008?

Also - and I stress this is NOT scrounging the test, but I'm away from home (and thus my dressage tests) pest and house sitting for parents. (pests = the 2 loopy whippets...) so can anyone let me know the main movements?

As in there are 20m circles in trot and canter, medium trot across diagonals, give and retake reins in trot etc... that way I can practice some of the movements if I can't get to my tests for a couple of days.

I can't imagine they will make changes to a 2007 test already so going by the nov 20 that i have....

20m and 12m circles in trot, medium trot, trot - walk - trot transitions, free walk, 20m circles in canter, canter - trot - canter transitions, across diagonal in canter, 20m circle in trot allowing the horse to stretch...

I haven't ridden it and that's because I imagine it's horrid!!

Maybe I should have stuck to Prelim!!!!

I did the Prelim ones as a "newcomer" last year and though I didn't win a test to de-newcomer myself, I thought it was a bit pot-hunty of me to stay with prelim newcomers as I did get the points championship - so I thought I'd try the novice section instead.

12m circles? whats wrong with 10?

Given that I'll end up riding this blind on Sunday, methinks I've been a bit hasty... ah well! We live and learn!
 
It's certainly doesn't look the nicest of tests..... I have to say that I personally think the elem's that i'm doing this wknd are easier!!!
Maybe it's just what suits each horse...........
 
I avoid it too - mainly because canter-trot-canter would probably be a disaster with my girlie!
