Can someone tell me briefly what is in these tests? I don't have my book Most importantly is there any counter canter?

don't think novice 20 has any counter canter, 20/12m circles (trot) at A and C, change of leg through trot, give and retake reins in trot
E42 has a bit of counter canter, 'H half circle right 10m to G returning to track at E, E to K counter canter', then same on other rein (counter canter from B to F)

42 has counter canter, but its in a short arena, so you dont have to do much!

Has elementary 42 not been replaced with a new 2008 43 test? (I may be completely wrong as I know nothing about dressage, but I remember it being mention here I think!)

No, 42 has replaced 41.
