Off we went on a very cold afternoon to Radway.
Snoopy loaded first time like a complete pro, mum, Madmare and I with heater full pelt ventured onto the motorway.
TinselMcTor was meeting us there with Finnus.
We arrive, apparently running 20 minutes late
frown.gif
they had brought my times forward by 10 minutes too....
PANIC NOT!
Tack up and hop on, I managed to take out about 3 spectators - whoops! Snoop was off.
Warmed up well in his new surroundings.
Went into our first test - all going nicely until the stallion (Primitive Star) came out round the corner just as I was trotting past, we had a spook but settled immediately and continued to finish doing a nice test.
Literally 2 minutes later, we were in our next test, and whilst Madmare was calling for Tori I managed to collar a very handsome young man (a Primitive Star connection) and he called the test for me

Well we broke in the first medium trot but all was good
smile.gif
and we finished tired but happy

Went to the score board to see we finished a very creditable 2nd in both tests
smile.gif
with 63% in both.

Thrilled to bits with him

Was a nice afternoon, and I managed to take Beamish out for another walk this morning
smile.gif

T_E Beamish is my GSD, he has been very sick
frown.gif
been at the vets for 4 days, and theyre pretty stumped whats wrong, he has VERY high blood pressure, could have been poisoned by contaminated chews or have a tumour

Well done ,you must be frozen stiff I think it was so cold today, what was the surface like ,was it outside?we never go there now as it has always been like a bog but maybe they have improved things.
Fancy getting the same score in both, so now you have points!

Ooo.... Madmare and I both thought the surface was much improved there today
smile.gif

It was starting to freeze but definitely NOT boggy
smile.gif

Will def go back as only took 30 minutes

Hi Hils, yes that was me. I was supposed to be doing the novices there as well, but my horse went through the electric fence the other day and bruised his hoof. So I was relegated to calling and coaching.

Nice to (sort of) meet you though!

BBs, well done! You rode v. well and Snoops did you proud. Pity about the spook in the first test. To be honest, I thought you were marked harshly. But that's dressage!

I wouldn't dare do dressage because of the embarrassing squeaks and squeals (early on) and grunts and groans (later on) that Ross does - it's like his very own version of dressage to music.

You should do the EHOA training at Ely in Feb, Nick Turner sj then Nigel xc. Snoop and Ross could be partners in crime!

That sounds very tempting.
May look into it if i can get my arse in gear and get someone to look after the other two whilst Im away.
How long will Ely take me to get to?
Giggles at Ross' Sounds of Music lol

It's a Sunday/Monday, with a talk on rules, qualifications etc as well. Think it took me just over 2hrs when I used to live near you.

Ross is very loud but not very tuneful!
