...not today. :(

I've considered posting this for ages now because I missing schooling weekly (I used to at uni) but so far I've resisted because it's pointless and pathetic but today, I've had enough.

All summer, we've been praying for rain in Dorset as it's been dry and nasty. So I'm glad we've had some rain, to make the grass grow and all that. But about a week ago, I arranged to borrow a friends horse for a spot of schooling today and it buckets it down allllll day. It's not stopped.

I've been Mrs Mopey for weeks now because I haven't ridden due to work hours and also, I don't have access to a horse on a regular basis and I can't have my own because I'm going travelling and I just feel pants and unfit and I miss horsey contact and I just wannntttt tooo riddddeeee :(

Anyway, rant over.

Chocolate cornflake cakes if you've got this far.

thanks for the chocolate cornflake cakes-good choice ;)
aww poor you-hate it when the weather gets in the way, why dont you book a lesson at a riding school just to get your fix?

Think yourself lucky I had to spend 2 hours going through an enormous pile of coal ash... Don't ask... I work in an office... normally... I am cold, wet and going home for a shower.

I had a coat on and my sweater underneath. I took my sweater off and wrung it out in the sink. The coat is in a plastic bag.

Sorry I'm asking WTH?! LOL

Ironically I make horse products. Will not go further than that as I do not want to be seen to advertise or be bias in any way shape or form.

We needed to get rid of the ash we produce from making our product desperately as there was about 300t out there, only about 100 now - it needs to be high quality for the chaps who are taking it so they can use it so I had to sift through each and every bucket load for bits of biomass (read twigs) and it poured. Its still pouring and my backside feels as though I have wet myself where the rain went all down my (once nice clean and rather smart) trousers...

Feeling very grumpy and going home...

Oh crumbs!!!

Enjoy your warm shower!

As for hacking instead... It's not advisable. It really is piddling down and it's horizontal rain and the wind is up and about also. This is the worst weather we've had for ages and I'm on the coast which doesn't help. Usually, I would as I'm not a fairweather rider at all, but this is really horrid :(

As for a fix at a school, I'm looking into this before I go away as a few lessons wouldn't go a miss. I'm desperate to have some proper dressage lessons as I have this stupid aim of wanting to ride one or two flying changes but I'm on a budget at the moment because of my travels so that aim is taking a back seat until I get back to the UK.

Thank you for your replies. I feel much more cheerful now :)
