Now feeding Allen and Page Feed

I have just started using their calm and conditioning cubes that turn into the sugar beet type thing, and I love it! THey are looking so good at the minute, and it's cheap too!

I love A&P, all really nice feeds / mixes

If I was a horse, I'd eat them!

You lot are too clever for your own good

But in all honesty, I've been put off from eating horse-feed after I tried a pony nut. Seriously - cardboard mush. Bleh!

I have to tell you all that i have jus changed my horses feeds to Allen and page and i have to say they are all going better in this feed brand then any other that they have been on.

Can you be a bit more specific about what the improvement is? And what feeds they were on before?

Yes i have one horse that competes but is very fizzy so i did not want to put him onto a competition mix as he did not need heating up but he needed something that would help him to focus. He had been on A&P Power and Proformace for about one week and he changed, got right into his work in the school, no messing about at all.

When i hacked him out he no longer finds the small things a issue that he used to he keeps himself in an outline and just keeps listning to me and works.

My two young horses that i am backing at the minute i moved onto there other feed and they are so much better to work with also.

Personally I feed my horse Dodson and Horrell Feed, and I am delighted with how he goes

Just thought they deserved a bit of overt marketing too

well I maybe do in winter he is spoilt to the joys of cheap brand own nuts (mole valley or countrywide depending on when I get into town as mole is shut on a sun), hifi (just thought I would stick a plug in there) and whoever makes sugar beet pellets- no idea

the sugar beet is a bargain, blonde anglo gets quite a bit to keep the weight on and frank gets a dash and one bag lasts us all winter, all for under a fiver. BARGAIN, super expanding feed

That is blatant advertising you know

Must admit I swapped from Dengie because I was fed up of the sacks not fitting into a dustbin
blush.gif
(is that a shallow reason?

)

So I feed Molichop ShowShine now (I think?) with D&H staypower cubes
smile.gif

ah yes it is annoying that it won't all fit in, even with my huge weight sitting on it and jumping up and down
ooo.gif

have always wondered about the stay power cubes but concern that any extra calories would go straight to the belly region as opposed to the going faster round the XC course region.

Not sure TBH, I feed them because they seem to give Bob extra energy without blowing his little tiny tiny TB mind too much

He is not a very good doer though, so doubt he would put weight on that easily regardless of what I fed him

If yours is a better doer they might give different results?

(hmmm, thats really helpful of me there isnt it

I feed mine a handful (just to make them feel loved

) of Dengie Healthy hooves, in winter that ups to a scoop, nothing else but hay. AND I have to watch their weight on it

i must admit, i totally love a+p feeds don't know why they just seem to work for my horses, and as a very nice person said to me, my old boy looks fab on it

so i will agree never had any problems with there feeds causing fizzyness ect, and i have tried lots of different feeds.

I swapped my horse about 9 months ago onto Power & Performance. I have to say I had never really considered A&P feeds before, for some reason I thought they were some sort of over-priced specialist feed that wasn't really worth it.

Well in the case of Power&Performance I was wrong and am now a complete convert. At about £10.50 a sack it is the equivalent price of any other leading brand performance feed and I have found my horse has a real increase in stamina with this feed.
